Pennington and the Jets fall

Rookie Trent Edwards was 22-for-28 for 234 yards and a touchdown as the Buffalo Bills defeated the Jets 17-14 at Ralph Wilson Stadium.  Edwards was picked off once as he got the start for the injured J.P. Losman.  Marshawn Lynch ran the ball 23 times for 79 yards and another score as the Bills won their first game of the season.  Lee Evans had six catches for 72 yards while Michael Gaines’ one-yard touchdown reception with just under seven minutes to go turned out to be the difference.  Chad Pennington completed 32-of-39 attempts for Gang Green.  He threw for 290 yards and a score while being picked off twice.  Thomas Jones had 35 of the Jets’ 60 rushing yards on 12 carries.  The Jets fell to 1-and-3 as they get ready to play the rival New York Giants this weekend.
