LB Spencer put on reserve-non-football injury list

The New York Jets placed linebacker Cody Spencer on the “reserve-non-football illness list today, which in effect ends his season.  Spencer, a fourth-year player from North Texas, played in the Jets’ season opener against the New England Patriots but has been inactive the past three weeks.  Spencer’s agent, Mark Slough, referred questions about Spencer to the team; however, the Jets as per team policy, do not discuss injuries or illnesses.
