Cotchery may play vs. Browns

New york Jets wide receiver Jerricho CotcheryAs reported by Dave Hutchinson of the Newark Star-Ledger and confirmed by an “outside source”, New York Jets wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery is awaiting a specially designed cast for his broken right finger and could return to team practice as early as today and possibly play against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

Despite his injury, he still leads the Jets with 54 receptions for 730 yards and a touchdown; he was injured during practice on November 26 and has been invisible since that time.  I’m not a doctor obviously, but I would venture to say that Cotchery will make a return some time this season – whether this Sunday is a certainty is difficult to say, but I expect him back, regardless.
