Clemens to Remain Starter for the Jets

Clemens looks for an escape route

If there was any question as to Kellen Clemens remaning as the starter for the Jets this week – end the speculation.  Head coach Eric Mangini said on Monday that Clemens will remain under center when the team heads to New England to take on the undefeated Pats Sunday.  Clemens last week vs the Browns went 24-for-41 for 286 yards, but thew two bad picks, one of which was a killer since it was at the Browns two-yard line.  This season Clemens has a QB rating of 61.1, and has thrown 4 TD’s and nine interceptions.  He has yet to throw more TD’s than picks in a game this season, and has been under a 60 QB rating in 4 of the 6 games he’s started this season.
