Clemens Struggles to Throw in Practice

Pennington sacked Sunday

Looks like the Jets will be going with Chad Pennington on Sunday vs the Titans, that’s at least the outlook following practice on Wednesday. QB Kellen Clemens struggled to throw with his bruised ribs and sore shoulder, and could sit out the contest. Coach Eric Mangini, hoping it seems that Clemens will recover for the game, did not commit to a starter, but it appears that if Kellen does not improve during the practice session today, that he will have no choice but to go with Pennington. Sunday vs the Pats Chad was 25-for-38 for 184 yards with no TD’s and no interceptions. He has two career games vs the Titans with a QB rating of 114.4 with four TD’s and two picks.
