Jets with Plenty of Cash to Spend Come Free Agency

Faneca in green?

They have a lot of cash to spend ($27 mil), and many inside the NFL thinks that the Jets will do just that once free agency starts next month.  Sporting News has thrown out a couple of names that may be of great interest to Jets fans, as they are free agents that may be wearing green in the not-so-distant future.  Here are a few guys they feel could be swayed to the Big Apple:

Pittsburgh Alan Faneca
- The prize O-lineman of the free agent market, but he knows it and would cost the Jets, or anyone else for that matter, a fortune.

Indianapolis Ryan Lilja - A poor man’s Faneca, this O-lineman would be a heck of a lot cheaper, but that is also becuase he’s clearly not as good.

Baltimore Terrell Suggs - A solid linebacker that could upgrade the position, as well as be a spot of need if OLB Victor Hobson takes off in free agency.   Would be a solid starter for the Jets.

Chicago Bernard Berrian - The Jets do need more offensive playmakers, and this WR is one that might be a solid fit in NY.  He does have the drops once in awhile, but can also get down the field and make plays.
