The three-way deal reported here earlier today between the Lions, Jets and Broncos now appears like it is dead.  Instead, now there appears to be a new deal in the works as the Jets are still eyeing to upgrade their D-line.  Now NFL Network’s Adam Schefter is reporting talks between the Jets and Panthers are starting to heat up, and that the Jets are eyeing Panthers DT Kris Jenkins.  The former 2nd round pick of the Panthers in 2001 has played in 85 career games with the Panthers, recording 216 tackles and 20.5 sacks.  Last season he had 38 tackles and 2.5 sacks in 16 games.  Once again, it’s about upgrading the D-line, and adding Jenkins would do that.
