New York Jets fullback Tony Richardson

If anything else, credit the New York Jets for at least trying to spend some money in the quest of improving their chances of visiting the postseason and beyond; according to SI.com, fullback Tony Richardson has agreed to a one-year contract with the team.  Financial terms of the deal, as usual, were not disclosed.  A Pro Bowler, Richardson’s main job is to pave the way for starting running back Thomas Jones.

Originally an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys, Richardson spent the first 11 years of his career with the Kansas City Chiefs before going to the Minnesota Vikings for the past 2 seasons.
