Favre To Make Jets Debut Saturday

Brett Favre is getting set to take his first snaps for the Jets in game conditions as Gang Green hosts the Washington Redskins Saturday night in preseason action at Giants Stadium. The 38-year-old watched from the sidelines last week as the Jets opened the preseason with a 24-20 win at Cleveland August 7th. The future Hall of Famer had just been traded to the Jets from the Green Bay Packers and officially joined the team earlier that day. Favre came to the Jets after 16 seasons in Green Bay and a storied career that has him at the top of the NFL’s all-time list for passing yards, touchdown throws and quarterback wins. To make room for Favre, the Jets cut quarterback Chad Pennington.
