Favre Likely to Sit in Preseason Finale vs Eagles

Despite not having a ton of time to get on the same page with his offensive players, it appears that Brett Favre is going to sit back and relax and not play in the Jets preseason finale at Philadelphia.  Coach Eric Mangini said today that he is leaning towards sitting Favre - “It would be safe to say that I’m leaning toward that.”  Favre said before that he wanted to play, but then said if not, he won’t be too upset.  The important thing is that the QB is ready to go September 7th vs the Dolphins in Miami, not a meaningless preseason game vs the Eagles.
