Despite rolling his left ankle during Monday night’s 48-29 setback to the Chargers, it appears that QB Brett Favre will play Sunday vs the Cards at home.  “Brett usually plays,” coach Eric Mangini said Tuesday, “and I would anticipate the same.”  Reports say that Favre was limping after the injury and in the locker room.  He has started an NFL record 256 straight regular season games.  “It’s just understanding him and I think we have a good plan in place whenever guys get injured, so I feel pretty comfortable with the process,” Mangini said. “And I know that if there’s any way that he can play, he’ll definitely play.”

Favre is due for a big day. He’s a proud guy and a competitor. It will be the NEW YORK BRETTS day!
