Although the Jets are batting around the idea, we hear that offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer is a long shot to be promoted to head coach after the dismissal of Eric Mangini. Schottenheimer’s seemingly illogical play-calling for much of the season was at the root of much of the Jets’ problems, even more so than Mangini.
