Jets Dump LB’s David Bowens and Brad Kassell

ProFootballTalk.com reports that the Jets have dumped two veteran LB’s. Here is the report:
The New York Jets have cut two of their veteran linebackers.
On Thursday, the team announced the release of David Bowens and Brad Kassell.
Bowens arrived via free agency in 2007, and notched seven starts in two seasons. Kassell joined as a free agent in 2006, and spent last season on injured reserve.
Bowens was due to earn a base salary of $2 million, and Kassell was scheduled to earn $745,000.
