Jets Talking to the Eagles About Sheppard

The Jets have scheduled a visit with Eagles cornerback Lito Sheppard, who has been seeking a trade for the past year. Sheppard has three years remaining on his contract. It is not know what Sheppard would cost the Jets in a trade, but New York does have two fourth-round choices.

The Eagles had been asking for a first-day draft pick — a first- or second-round pick in the past year.

Ravens cornerback Corey Ivy was taking a physical at the Jets facility Friday and the team is expected to try to sign him over the next 24 hours. Former Ravens defensive coordinator Rex Ryan is hoping to get a few Ravens on his roster who know his scheme. Another former Raven, Jim Leonhard, a safety, will visit the Jets on Saturday.
