Jets with Interest in Oklahoma State TE Brandon Pettigrew

The Newark Star Ledger is reporting that the Jets have an interest in Oklahoma State TE Brandon Pettigrew. Here is the update from today’s edition:

As the Jets continue to prepare for the NFL Draft next month, a new name has surfaced on their radar, according to a league official with knowledge of the team’s thinking: Oklahoma State tight end Brandon Pettigrew. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because he’s not authorized to speak for the Jets or Pettigrew. The Jets, who have the 17th pick overall, have only one tight end on their roster, Dustin Keller, not counting long snapper James Dearth, and the team is trying to fill the void. The Jets brought in unrestricted free-agent tight ends Robert Royal and Billy Bajema but decided to sign neither.
