Jets to Take a Chance on Adam “Pacman” Jones?

Could the screwed up world of the NFL give Adam “Pacman” Jones yet another shot? Well, that looks like it could be the case, as NFL Fanhouse is reporting that the New York Jets have an interest in Jones, who was released after the season from the Cowboys, already his second NFL club.

Here’s the post on Fanhouse about Jones possibly going to the Jets:

Cornerback Pacman Jones still wants to play in the NFL. Whether or not somebody wants him remains to be seen. The Jets have expressed interest, according to someone close to Jones, but are waiting things out. Jones’ agent Worrick Robinson said he hopes to get his client signed by training camp and wouldn’t discuss which teams are interested. When asked if the Cowboys, Jones’ last employer, have requested a return engagement, Robinson said no.

Jones has been a troublemaker in the NFL almost from day one, but there is no questioning his talent. The question is – can he stay out of troube to be able to stay on the field? So far, that question has pretty much been “no.” He was released on January 7th from Dallas after Cowboys officials learned that Jones is a suspect in a June 2007 shooting outside a strip club in Atlanta.

The Jets are taking a big risk if they ink Jones, as you have to wonder if he’s worth the trouble. It will be interesting to see what in the end they think.
