Let me premise this debate by stating that I think both RB’s should play this season under their original contracts. I do think Leon deserves more but that is not what this column is about. If I had to choose which to pay, who would it be?
I choose Leon.
If anything sways my opinion more it would have to be age. Yes Jones is 30, and despite hearing that for a 30 year old he still has a lot of tread on his I don’t buy it. (Jones, 31 when the season begins) Let’s be honest, who do you want to invest in for the future? Isn’t that what we are talking about?
Yeah, yeah, yeah the future is now sure, but I believe we just drafted a bruiser by the name of Shonn Greene. We need Leon as a scat back to stretch the field, and from what is being reported Shonn admittedly doesn’t catch very well; LEON DOES.
