I recall cheering the heck out of our Vernon Gholston pick just a year ago, how far we have fallen. I still believe, yes fans I said it, “I still believe”. Apparently so does Rex Ryan. From the above mentioned quote it seems as if Vernon is progressing. I envision him in that Ohio State uniform terrorizing QB’s and being excited to play football. That is what Rex is all about, fun with football.

I think that if he can get Vernon to relax and do what he does best…KILL THE QB, he can be great. I only wish Mangini had seen this earlier last year and let him play the line on pure passing downs more. Who knows what Rex has in store for Vernon, but I know if it is anything like the Ravens D, you and I will be happy.

One thing I know from watching Baltimore Ravens D the last 10 years it is good. I don’t know if Rex has been the mastermind of it all because Marvin Lewis was there before him and someone before him but I hope the D translates to NY.
