In the NFL contracts are not guaranteed, you have to get the money while you can. If the teams make "business" decisions all the time and cut players without honoring their contracts then the players have every right to complain they have outplayed theirs. The days of sign on the dotted line and get paid X amount of dollars is over. It's only guaranteed when it's in your account, and even then they can try and recoup signing bonuses and everything else that they add to the fine print.
