As the Jets get closer to training camp, there’s plenty of talk about the battles at various positions. One spot being talked about is the wide out spot, where the NY Post today states that Chansi Stuckey is the current favorite to start opposite Jerricho Cotchery:
“I have more confidence in that group than the general opinion out there,” Ryan said. There’s no clear-cut starter alongside Cotchery, with Chansi Stuckey and Brad Smith the only players with legitimate NFL experience. Stuckey, who played mostly as a third-down slot wide receiver last season, appears to be the most likely second starter with the versatile Smith the No. 3. Wallace Wright, who has been a special teams player, had a strong minicamp. David Clowney is the fastest.
