Nose Tackle Jenkins Out for the Season
Posted by Matt Loede on October 19th, 2009 in Injury Report, News
In news that was almost expected, Jets nose tackle Kris Jenkins is likely out for the year with a severe left knee injury. On Monday, ESPN.com’s Adam Schefter reported via Twitter that Jenkins tore his ACL and will be out for the remainder of the season.
Jenkins’ leg was heavily wrapped after the game, and he left the stadium on crutches. “Unfortunately, I think it’s probably severe. I’m not sure, though,” coach Rex Ryan said on Sunday.
Jenkins tackled Fred Jackson on a 4-yard run with just over 5 minutes left before halftime and went down, grimacing while laying on his back. He ripped off his helmet and stayed on the turf on his back for several minutes as trainers checked on him.

Only decent pass rusher. The beginning of the end.
