While no decision has been made about keeping RB Thomas Jones around or not, NFL.com says that the Jets will not be picking up his $3.3 million dollar roster bonus.
The Jets aren’t anticipating picking up running back Thomas Jones’ $3.3 million roster bonus, according to a league source. The team and Jones still could work out a restructured deal before the start of the league year next week. However, that possibility doesn’t seem great at this time, and barring a new deal, Jones would become a free agent when the roster bonus isn’t picked up.
