The National Football Post reports that the Jets have inked free agent DE Rodrique Wright:
The New York Jets signed free agent defensive end Rodrique Wright today, the team announced. Wright is a former Miami Dolphins seventh-round pick who has posted 37 tackles 1 1/2 sacks and one fumble recovery back in 2007. He started nine games that season.
He spent his first season on injured reserve with the Dolphins because of a lingering shoulder problem from his time at the University of Texas. He played in no games in 2008 before playing in one game for the Dolphins in a playoff loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
The Dolphins cut him on Sept. 5, 2009 during the final major roster cutdown and he wasn’t on a team for the remainder of the season.
