Jets offered a first round pick to Denver for Brandon Marshall?

What do you think the Jets would look like with say Brandon Marshall instead of Santonio Holmes? Well, the Denver Post reports that the Jets may have been offering a first round pick for the wide out. Instead, he landed with the Fins:

A couple more million dollars from the New York Jets and the Broncos may well have received that coveted first-round draft pick for wide receiver Brandon Marshall. The Jets were ready to present Marshall with an offer sheet, which would have meant surrendering their first-round pick, No. 29 overall, to the Broncos. The Broncos would have gladly taken that No. 29 pick but the Jets, though, could not come up with a long-term contract that satisfied Marshall.
