Jets Sign Connor

The Jets signed their first draft pick on Friday when they agreed to terms with fullback John Connor.

The contract is worth $1.99 million over four years, with the chance to increase to $2.7 million if certain escalators are met.

Connor, “The Terminator,” was chosen with the pick that the Jets received when they traded Leon Washington to the Seahawks on draft day.

He is an old fashioned fullback, who will knock you off your feet.

He will likely focus on special teams as rookie being taking over for Tony Richardson, most likely in 2011.

However, if he impresses in training camp this summer, he may be starting as soon as this season.
