Revis Not Sure How He Will Handle Training Camp

Pro Football Weekly reports that Jets CB Darrelle Revis still isn’t sure how he is going to handle upcoming training camp when it comes to if he will be there or holdout.

There have been conflicting reports about Jets CB Darrelle Revis and whether or not he will hold out of training camp, but we hear he hasn’t made a decision in regards to a holdout. Revis is seeking a contract that will pay him a higher annual salary than Raiders CB Nnamdi Asomugha, who is entering the second year of a three-year deal that reportedly pays him $28.6 million in the first two years. Revis was insulted by the Jets’ first contract offer and has been vocal about his disappointment with the lack of progress in negotiations. Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum recently rewarded OLT D’Brickashaw Ferguson with a long-term deal, but reports indicate the Jets will not get deals done with C Nick Mangold and ILB David Harris, who also want raises, or Revis this season. If Revis, a fourth-year veteran, holds out beyond Aug. 10, it will cost him an accrued year toward free agency.
