Jets Cut Coles and Others

It was a active morning for the Jets, who in addition to learning that outside linebacker Calvin Pace will be sidelined for up to 6 weeks, cut four of their own players.

The most notable player being Laveranues Coles, who was on his third stint with the team. It appears likely that the career of Coles is all but over now. The team also released receivers Marcus Henry, Aundrae Allison and defensive end Rodrique Wright. The release of Henry and Allison should all but assure that David Clowney will be on the opening roster. It also means that Larry Taylor is getting a serious kook for the team. The release of Wright comes shortly after Rex challenged him to step up to replace Ripoti Pitioua, who went on injured reserve last week.
