New York Jets News and Notes

Catching up on some news and notes over the past couple days:

  • Adalius Thomas came in for a visit on Monday, but left the facility without a contract. Don;t expect him to see him in green and white anytime soon.
  • The Jets waived fan favorite Danny Woodhead and resigned David Clowney. They decided to bring back Clowney over Laveranues Coles or perhaps Coles turned them down like he said he might when he was cut. I like the decision to bring back Clowney though. The Jets need another true receiver while Santonio Holmes is suspended.
  • They resigned DT Howard Green, to take the roster space of Kris Jenkins (I.R.). Green will provide depth to a defensive line that can’t afford another injury.
  • It appears as if the Jets have no interest in trading for Albert Haynesworth. And why would they? The whole reason Haynesowrth didn’t want to play for the Redskins was becasue they switched to a 3-4, which the Jets run a lot of.
