Darrelle Revis Injured in Jets 28-14 Victory

The one sour note in an otherwise great game, the Jets star cornerback Darrelle Revis left the game after tweaking his hamstring late in the first half agasint the Patriots. Revis hurt the hamstring while covering Randy Moss on his 34 yard touchdowns reception. He said that he didn’t pull or tear his hamstring, but he will have an MRI anyway.

Revis originally tweaked his hamstring in practice on Wednesday, though he said until that play it felt fine. As for his status for next week, Revis doesn’t know yet. “It’s not a severe injury,” Revis said following the game. “But I’ve just got to go with it day-by-day.”

Lets hope it’s nothing too severe. The Jets need him blanketing Brandon Marshall next week.

(Note: A full game review will be up later today.)

Next week is going to be a huge game especially with the fins winning 2 road games to start the year.

Revis needs to be healthy, if there is any doubt I’d rather he sits once rather than making the hammy worse and missing 6 weeks or something like that.

Thankfully Sanchez looked great. It’s nice to have a QB athletic enough to avoid the rush occasionally as well when protection breaks down.
