Jets to bring up WR Patrick Turner form the practice squad for Sunday night

Before Sunday night’s game against the Dolphins, the Jets will elevate wide receiver Patrick Turner from the practice squad to their active roster, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports. Turner was a third-round pick (87th overall) out of USC by the Dolphins in 2009.

Turner appeared in just two games for the Dolphins, and did not post a single reception. Turner had 7 receptions for 90 yards this pre-season, but was waived as part of Miami’s final roster cuts. The Jets claimed Turner off waivers, only to waive him a few days later and re-sign him to their practice squad.
