Ellis expected to play vs Vikings Monday night

With an MRI showing no damage to Shaun Ellis’ knee, it looks as if the defensive end should be able to go Monday night vs a suddenly new look Vikings team.

Reports from a few inside the team say that Ellis will go, and they are going to need a pass rush vs Brett Favre now that Randy Moss is a Viking after an early morning Wednesday trade.

Ellis was injured making a sack in the third quarter of the Jets’ 38-14 victory over the Bills on Sunday. He had arthroscopic surgery on the knee in 2008 and was bothered at times by swelling last season.
