Jets to be without WR Cotchery; Woody still questionable

The Jets have made it official wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery won’t play Thursday night against the Bengals. Cotchery suffered a partial groin tear two weeks ago and has yet to return to practice, but the rest may allow him to play in the biggest game of the season, December 6th at the Patriots.

Right tackle c, who sprained his right knee last week in the last-minute win over the Houston Texans, was listed as questionable on the Jets’ injury report. That means they are holding out hope he can play, but that’s unlikely to happen, according to sources close to the veteran lineman.

Woody would be replaced by veteran Wayne Hunter, who took all the practice reps during the abbreviated week.
