Bart Scott Limps From Wrestling Ring

Bart Scott walks into the wrestling ring on “TNA Impact,” but he limps out according to the New York Post

A video posted by TheSportsPope on YouTube shows the Jets linebacker in a pre-match loading-dock brawl before entering the ring to face off against Kurt Angle on the Spike TV program.

After Scott pushes Angle around, the video cuts to Scott limping badly, helped from the ring by two men. It is not revealed how Scott was “injured,” but Angle’s signature move is an ankle lock.

According to, Scott’s agent said his client did not actually wrestle during his appearance, which was taped last week and aired Thursday.

Harold Lewis told the website in an e-mail that Scott acted as a “bodyguard” for Hulk Hogan, fulfilling a boyhood dream.

“He was not wrestling!” Lewis wrote. “He was only the bodyguard for some small, helpless guy named Hulk Hogan. It was nothing more than an appearance.”
