Woody Johnson Speaks on Work Stoppage

New York Jets owner Woody Johnson released a short statement to the press about the current work stoppage.

“It may take longer than we all had hoped,” Johnson said, “but New York Jets fans should know that a deal will get done, and I remain confident that there will be NFL football in 2011. Although I was very disappointed that the union chose legal maneuvering over negotiating, I am convinced that our differences can be resolved at the bargaining table.”

His statements echoes what Jerry Jones said earlier in the week, giving hope of optimism at a time when it’s hard to come by.

We all can hope they are right and a deal will get done sooner rather than later.
