Justin Houston to Visit the Jets

University of Georgia outside linebacker Justin Houston will visit the New York Jets one week before the NFL Draft, according to league sources.

Houston recorded 10 sacks for the Bulldogs last season and will fill a need for the Jets, who are lacking a dynamic pass rusher for their 3-4 defense.

He is projected to go in the first round and might be available when Gang Green pick at #30.

He has ideal measurables (6-3, 267 lbs) and ran a 4.62 40 at the combine and bench pressed 225 pounds 30 times. However, there is concern about him dropping back into pass coverage.

What do you think Jets fans? Is he someone the Jets should target? Would you rather have Houston or Phil Taylor?

  1. Dean Barbella says:

I’d rather draft Phil Taylor. I would hope there’s a run on OL and QB, and possibly a Corey Liuget or Muhamad Wilkerson falls. Otherwise, Houston seems promising at a position of need!
