The Jets have signed wide receiver Eron Riley off the Denver Broncos’ practice squad, reports Mike Klis of The Denver Post.
Originally signed by the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Duke in 2009, Riley spent his first season in the league on the Ravens’ practice squad before splitting 2010 between the Carolina Panthers and Broncos practice squads.
Riley has caught 11 passes for 292 yards and three touchdowns in three preseasons’ worth of action.
For being signed off a practice squad, Riley is guaranteed three game checks ($66,176) from Jets, regardless of whether or not he stays on the roster during that time.
