Safety Eric Smith Played Through Torn Meniscus

Jets safety Eric Smith revealed today that he played the final five games of the season with a torn meniscus and will have a knee scope Wednesday to determine the extent of the damage according to Jenny Vrentas of the Newark Star-Ledger. He said the injury happened in practice before the Washington Redskins game.

“They’re going to go and open it up and see what all I did,” Smith said.
