The Jets finally return home to Metlife Stadium where their week one rout of the Buffalo Bills seems like ancient history.
Since then there’s been a change in season, some (more) controversy, a season-ending injury to arguably the best defensive player in the game, and a near heart-attack win in Miami.
But this week 4 matchup against the 49ers could prove to be the Jets biggest challenge. The scariest part about facing San Francisco is the fact that they’re coming off a loss to a Minnesota Vikings team that is proving to be better than many expected and the Niners will have a large chip on their shoulder.
This week will be a battle of defenses, one is the best in the league, the other is “supposedly” the best in the league. The Jets offense has shown that it has some issues finding a playmaker especially with Keller questionable and Hill is listed as doubtful. The elephant in the room is obviously Darrelle Revis.
Rex Ryan has said that he will keep a roster spot open for him just in case the Jets make the Super Bowl. Rex said he was done guaranteeing things but this is just a way for him to run his mouth indirectly.
The 49ers will exploit every hole the Jets have on every side of the ball and could possibly embarrass them by the end of the game. The Jets will fall to the Niners in week four by at least two touchdowns and force the Jets to find the answers to questions they don’t even know exist yet.
