Holmes Leaves Niners Game with Injury; Jets Getting Buried by San Fran

Things are getting very ugly for the Jets, first losing Darrell Revis last week, and now today WR Santonio Holmes went down with what could be a major knee injury.

Add to the fact the Jets trail the Niners big time at home, and the season could be falling apart right before our eyes.

Wide receiver Santonio Holmes made a catch and planted in order to make a cut, but crumpled to the ground before taking another step. It looked like his left knee gave out on him and it looked a lot like the litany of other serious knee injuries suffered by NFL players without any contact.

Adding insult to injury, Holmes dropped the ball on his way to the ground and 49ers cornerback Carlos Rogers returned it for a touchdown. While there were no signs the Jets offense had a comeback from 17-0 in them this afternoon, a change in the score to 24-0 means that it is now safe to go about other business if you were waiting on the result of this game.
