Clearly, Rex Ryan read my last piece because he jumping off of the Sanchez and letting Greg McElroy start against the Chargers on Sunday. I have never been so happy about a move the Jets made since they picked up L.T.
Greg McElroy was 5/7 for 29 yards in his two drives against the Cardinals. But while this is great news for many Jets fans, it is horrible to now third string quarterback, Tim Tebow. There will be a lot of questions surrounding the Jets offense in the offseason but my advice to Mick Tannenbaum is to start building around McElroy.
Sanchez has thrown 13 touchdowns and has turned the ball over 29 times and has thrown 1 touchdown and 7 interceptions in his last three weeks. Yeah… it’s been a long year.
