The Jets are set to interview Seahawks VP of football administration John Idzik for a second time on Wednesday, according to an ESPN report.
Idzik won a Super Bowl with Tampa Bay as the assistant general manager before moving to the Cardinals, where he was the senior director of football operations and part architect of a team that would eventually reach the Super Bowl.
He left before he could see that happen, though, joining the Seahawks in 2007. According to the team’s website, Idzik “oversees player negotiations, the team’s compliance with the NFL salary cap, player personnel transactions, all football operations budgets, staff and team contracts, team travel and most aspects of the day-to-day football operations while also remaining active in player evaluations.”
