The Jets have a mess with their salary cap but have a plan to get under the cap.
Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports the Jets will clear $27.7 million of salary cap space as they plan to cut linebacker Bart Scott, outside linebacker Calvin Pace and offensive lineman Jason Smith.
