The Jets officially announced the signing of 30-year-old Dawan Landry today after bringing him in for a visit last week, Conor Orr of the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Dawan was drafted by the Ravens back in 2006 and played for Ryan and Thurman for four seasons before heading to Jacksonville.
Last year, he played in all 16 games, registering 100 tackles and an interception for the Jaguars.
The move locks up at least one safety spot for next season. The Jets are not retaining either of their three starters from last season — Eric Smith, LaRon and Yeremiah Bell.
