Jets Talking Today With Western Michigan QB Alex Carder

Western Michigan quarterback Alex Carder is visiting the Jets today, Aaron Wilson of Profootball.scout.com citing a league source with knowledge of the situation.

Jets quarterbacks coach David Lee and Cincinnati Bengals quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese as well as three other teams attended Carder’s campus Pro Day workout, which went well.

The 6-foot-2, 216-pounder ran the 40-yard dash in 4.9 seconds and registered a 33-inch vertical leap and a 9-5 broad jump with a 4.32 short shuttle and a 7.18 three-cone drill.

He passed for 8,886 career yards, 74 touchdowns and 36 interceptions.
