Jets Release Tim Tebow After One Forgettable Year In NY

Indianapolis Colts v New York Jets

The day that many Jets fans have been waiting for has finally arrived – Tim Tebow is a New York Jet no more.

Tebow was waived Monday, told face-to-face by new GM John Idzik and coach Rex Ryan when he arrived for phase two of the Jets’ offseason program.

“We have a great deal of respect for Tim Tebow,” Ryan said. “Unfortunately, things did not work out the way we all had hoped. Tim is an extremely hard worker, evident by the shape he came back in this offseason (losing weight). We wish him the best moving forward.”

Let the rumors start on where the former Broncos QB will land from here. Many have said he will eventually wind up with the Jaguars, but that’s hard to imagine after the amount of times Jacksonville has stated that they are not going to bring him in.

Now that he’s free to any team that puts a bid in for him, it’s anyone’s guess where he will land.
