New York Jets – Three Biggest Games Of The 2013 Season

Week One Sunday 9/8 vs Tampa Bay – Does it get any bigger than welcoming back home Darrelle Revis in week one?! Tampa Bay overall wasn’t that good in 2012, and they will turn to Revis to try and get the franchise turned around. The Jets need a fast start to put the bad taste of 2012 behind them, and no better way to do it than to send Revis packing back to Florida with a loss, and for the Jets to start the year with a huge home win. It would be nice to see Mark Sanchez (should he be starter) have a big first game as well.

Week Five Sunday 10/7 at Atlanta - The reigning NFC South champs will be a tough test for the Jets on a Sunday night in the Georgia Dome. Matt Ryan, Roddy White, Steven Jackson and Julio Jones highlight a high powered Falcons offense, and the Jets defense will have to be on their toes all night. This one could be a shootout, and it will be up to the Jets offense to try and match up with the Falcons offense, which will be a tall task. A win in the ATL could be a statement game for the Jets in week five.

Week Twelve Sunday 11/24 at Baltimore – The Super Bowl Champs always pose a tough test for the Jets, and while Baltimore may be a little down a year after winning a title, it won’t be easy for the Jets to go into crab cake city and snag a win from Joe Flacco, Ray Rice and the Ravens. Can the Jets do enough to avoid falling into the trap of turning the ball over and letting the Ravens run all over them? Beating the Ravens could set up the Jets for a huge playoff run – if it’s not already too late.
