The New York Jets aren’t expecting running back Chris Ivory back in the line-up anytime soon after he re-injured his hamstring during Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
According to Rich Cimini of ESPN New York, the injury is to the same hamstring that kept him out of training camp for 2-weeks during the summer.
The injury leaves the Jets desperately thin at running back. As of right now they wil enter Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans with just two running backs, Bilal Powell and Alex Green.
Mike Goodson, who is currently serving a 4-game suspension, has one more game remaining before he can return to the Jets active roster.
Ivory was injured early in Sunday’s game, so Powell and Green have already proved that they can handle the load, but an injury to either would be a disaster for the Jets.
