The New York Jets have signed wide receiver/kick returner Josh Cribbs, according to ProFootballTalk.
The Jets brought Cribbs in for two-workouts this season. They likely signed him due to the injuries suffered by WR Clyde Gates, and RB Mike Goodson on Sunday against the Steelers. Cribbs will likely step into the line-up immediately as the teams kick returner. He also provides the Jets with depth at wide receiver.
Cribbs, a 3-time Pro Bowler, spent eight seasons with the Cleveland Browns. Over the course of his career, he has had 387 kick returns and 8 touchdowns, and 195 punt returns and 3 touchdowns.
