Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie gets beat by teammate Eric Decker in camp on a regular basis, but he’s not concerned before Week 1, Kevin Armstrong of the New York Daily News reports.
“I’m not really worried about anything that’s going on right now,” he said. “I’m looking forward to when those lights turn on and you go play football from there.”
Cromartie, 31, said he felt fine and was working on his technique. He expressed a willingness to surrender big plays in practice if it meant getting his communication and tactics ready for the regular season.
“This is really not even training camp,” Cromartie said. “I don’t know what it is. I’m used to having two-a-days. . . . Two-a-days was fun. It weaned out the guys that was not mentally strong.”
