Jets Add Running Back Thomas Rawls and Linebacker Neville Hewitt

The Jets signed Thomas Rawls, the team announced Friday, just a day after the running back visited, the New York Daily News reports. They also added linebacker Neville Hewitt.

The former Seahawks ball carrier averaged a league-high 5.6 yards per carry (for 830 yards) as an undrafted rookie in 2015. But the 24-year-old had back-to-back forgettable seasons afterward due to a broken fibula and poor play.

Rawls rushed for 157 yards on 2.7 yards per carry last season.

Hewitt, another undrafted free agent, played the last three seasons with the Dolphins. He has 104 tackles, one sack and one interception during his career.
